Alps 2011 Possible ItineraryAlps 2011 Possible ItineraryThe date's been set! Dave, Peter and I will be leaving for Europe on Tuesday, June 14th. Frank will be leaving 2 days later on Thursday the 16th.
The "early group" will pick their bikes up Thursday morning, and return them the next Saturday, the 25th. Frank will get his bike on Friday the 17th.
Most international flights depart the East Coast in the early evening and arrive the next morning. After flying all night and arriving early AM Wednesday, the early group will plan to use Wednesday as a sightseeing/jetlag recovery day. Frank's a seasoned traveller and will be skipping a recovery day, picking his bike up shortly after landing on Friday.
The bike rental dealer is only open until 1pm on Saturdays, so we have to be careful about getting back to Munich (Landshut actually) early enough.
Most flights back to the US leave in the early AM, so returning the bikes and flying home on the same day is not likely. Figure flying home on Sunday.
The calendar below is just an idea of how the days might play out, it is very much subject to change.
