Day 4, Part One: Royal Gorge Bridge and Other Sights

Along the way from Wichita to Boulder, I passed some interesting sights and stopped at the Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world. I didn't know it would cost $14 to get on the bridge until I got there, but I decided to splurge. I'm glad I did. For someone like me who is fairly afraid of heights, the bridge was an absolute terror (in a good way). Looking down between the wooden boards to the river over 1,000 feet below while the bridge is bouncing up and down is quite a sensation. Watching the helicopter swoop down into the gorge was quite a shock.

No way in hell could
you ever get me on
that tram. Ever.

Nice little train down
in the gorge.

If that's your town's
claim to fame....

Nasty little dust storm

that biker.
